The new Responsibility Report 2024/25 tells stories – of people who show how social responsibility and environmental protection work in practice in everyday working life.
Dreieich, 17 June 2025 – Two people can be seen on the cover of the CWS Workwear Responsibility Report 2024/25 published today: Jenny Majchrzak and Roland Berger. They have been working at CWS Workwear in Neuss for decades. They travel to work together every day, sharing not only the route to work but also the same mindset: team spirit, reliability – and responsibility.
Their commitment is just one of many examples. The new Responsibility Report 2024/25 tells similar stories – people who show how social responsibility and environmental protection work in practice in everyday working life. For the first time, CWS Workwear is publishing an independent report that exclusively covers the activities of CWS Workwear. The focus not only lies on pure environmental aspects, but also on social responsibility. Together, they form the core of CWS Workwear's ESG (Environmental Social Governance) measures, which are explained in the new report.
For over 125 years, CWS Workwear has been offering workwear as a service – resource-saving, circular and practical. The Responsibility Report shows how the company is taking responsibility beyond purely environmental goals and making concrete progress in the areas of circular economy, human rights, employee development and governance.
With the introduction of the CER strategy (Circular, Empowering, Responsible), CWS Workwear is bundling its sustainability measures (ESG) into three clear pillars:
‘Embedding ESG in the value creation plan is no longer an add-on, but an integral part of our decision-making processes,’ says Leonie Biesen, Sustainability Lead at CWS Workwear. “The stories in our Responsibility Report show how this approach is implemented in reality”.
Roland Berger is not just an employee – he supports colleagues, organises help in everyday working life and is committed to inclusion. For him, this is a matter of course. For CWS Workwear, too.
Roland and Jenny's work areas symbolise what the company drives: worn workwear is turned into clean workwear – efficient, sustainable, reusable. For the customers.
‘Sustainability and responsibility at CWS Workwear has faces – like those of Roland and Jenny,’ says Stefanie Wilhelm, Lead Corporate Communications. ‘Our Responsibility Report gives the stories a voice – of people who bring responsibility at CWS Workwear to life every day.’
With the CWS Workwear Trainings Academy, openend in November 2024, the company is focusing on internal development. The monthly onboarding programme ‘Sales Rocket’ prepares new sales employees for their tasks in a practical way – from product training to ethics. In 2025, the offering will grow to include new workshops and a ‘Train the Trainer’ programme for managers.
Together with RYZE Digital, the report was prepared in such a way that complex ESG content is understandable and relevant for all target groups – from customers and employees to the general public. You can read the full report here.
